I've got 13k miles on mine and started noticing the clunk within the last 500-1000 miles. Taking mine in Wednesday for the windshield/roof recall and to check out the axle clunk.

Well it only lasted about a week. The noise is back.:( I have an appointment for the 21P22, so I'll add this to the list as well as the driver's door makes a popping noise when opened. Always an adventure.

Hey… the work was done in 24 hours, but the wait for the parts was almost 2 months… I’m U.K. based.

Well I'm beyond frustrated at this point. 2 months back and forth for this issue, and feel like giving up. Got the call yesterday that the car was ready and they were able to fix the noise this time. It had been with them for almost 2 weeks this latest round, but they kept my work order/invoice open up until now - shows I first took it in on Nov 17th. Wow, forgot it has been that long!

I was excited to finally get the car back, and looking forward to being able to fully enjoy it again. Throughout my multiple trips to the dealership since November I've been remaining positive and very patient, with the understanding of first year issues, supply chain, shipping delays, etc. Imagine my disappointment on hearing the noise again - clear as day - within the first two turns leaving the dealership.

Drove it a bit more to confirm. It was like nothing had changed, no improvement! Turned around and dropped it back off again. Strongly advised them to consider changing out the other halfshaft, as I also suggested last week, since it seems to be resolving the noise for a few folks here when both sides were replaced. Really wish there was a TSB for this by now.

Speaking of, the work performed on this latest round references TSB-21-2206 (Vibration/Pulsation From Brakes - Brake Pad Material Stuck To Rotor). Was told they tried this out replacing my front rotors, machining the rears, replacing (all?) the brake pads, and bleeding the system. I never had any noise while braking, but I guess they wanted to rule it out. Too bad it didn't make any difference. Disheartened by it all. Especially believing it had been resolved at long last, only to go in and discover that not the case. The saga continues. If you're still reading, thanks, and wish you better luck.

I have the Axel Clunk. I have had my car locked at by Field engineer from Ford, and they replaced wheel bearings...no change. They now are going to replace the full motor housing. They are just waiting on another car that also has the same issue to see if the motor housing replacement works. It sucks. It's embarrassing when people are in the car - they think it is going to break! It sounds awful.

General consensus is that it's the half shafts, but don't think anyone has got to the bottom of it yet!

My car is back from the dealer now. They called and said the tolerance for the bottom of the door where it meets the fender is so tight it binds when you open it and makes the noise. Their body shop is realigned the door, but a little touch-up paint was required. It's possible it's temperature dependent.

The axle clunk is getting worse, but I can't see replacing the half shaft every few weeks. I have faith the field engineers will discover the problem and find a permanent fix.?

Good morning. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name and location of the Ford dealership you are working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your Mach-E's axle!

Yes definitely temp dependent since i heard it when the temps dropped below 20 or so.
