My Pleasure..... Happy Holidays!Thank you so much!!!!
Congratulations ?UPDATE: I wasn't sure if the diagnosis was correct. The dealer said it was the left axle shaft. The axle was replaced and I picked it up today. IT WORKED. No noise!!
Ford threw in a free Service for my troubles too.
That's awesome! I had my 10K mile service done for free as well while it was in for another issue (after the half-shaft was replaced).UPDATE: Just picked up my car from the dealership. Both front drive shafts replaced. No more noise! Whoop. Ford threw in a free Service for my troubles too.
If they continue to use the same design and require frequent replacement, it would be very expensive. I would hope if a large percentage are out of spec or poor quality they would change something. The vendor perhaps? It’s definitely good news that half shaft replacement fixes the issue. But question: are we going to replace half shaft annually? That seems like a big hassle for owners and a big cost for Ford.
I think that mine had both front axles replaced and my clunk is gone after the service.UPDATE: I wasn't sure if the diagnosis was correct. The dealer said it was the left axle shaft. The axle was replaced and I picked it up today. IT WORKED. No noise!!
Hi Joe! This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this concern.I don't get it. How come you all were able to get your cars fixed and I can't? Are any of you in south Florida? If so, I would love to know what dealer you went to for the fix.
I have the clunking noise accelerating out of turns (right and left)
at the 10,000 miles service I told me dealer I have the clunking noise
They replace the right front axle after having the car for a week
I get the car back and it still clunks....zero improvement
I drive another 10,000 miles and get to my 20,000 mile service. The car still clunks. I take it to my dealer and tell them. They change the left front axle after having the car over a week.
I get the car back and again no improvement.
I am absolutely frustrated as hell at this point. I don't know if I should keep making them change axles or just wait until they redesign some parts....I don't know what to do
My tesla Y has had a couple of minor issues, but the tesla service center knows exactly how to fix the car and they fix it immediately and it's a done deal. I've never experienced this before where you keep bringing the car in multiple times and it's still not fixed.
The used car market is hot now and I could sell the car but the how do I replace it when all the dealers want a market adjustment?
