BlueCruise "Activation Pending" for Two Weeks

On June 29th, I purchased BlueCruise with my Ford points. Since that date, it still states Activation pending.

I've tried completely resetting the infotainment in the car, removed the vehicle from the Ford app (twice), and no dice. Additionally, I tried purchasing Connected Navigation to see if I needed that. Found out I didn't, but that service worked almost right away regardless.

I have contacted Ford multiple times about the issue and still no update. I'm posting here to see if my fellow owners have any more insight into this than I do.

My version of SYNC is 26093_PRODUCT & my BlueCruise Map Version is MU5T-14H394-AAM if that info is prevalent.

Yup, they were deducted as soon as I bought it. No button to cancel or renewal date on the service though.

Sync has not much to do with your subscription, sync will just check is it active. You can pull fusses Fuse 11 12 21 22 floorboard passenger side or disconnect the battery for 10 min.

Your case is very strange. I have seen it take a few weeks for the activation to kick off in the past, but usually it only takes a few days after removing it from the Ford app and re-adding it. Not sure what it going on in your case. I double-checked the config for BC on your car and everything is correct for it to work.

Devil's Advocate here. Perhaps inferred but not actually stated, may we assume you've actually driven on a Blue Cruise highway to test your BC?

His problem is an activation issue on the cloud side. He paid for it, but it won't turn on.

@Ford Motor Company Brian, maybe you can ruffle some feathers on your side?

The ability to subscribe to BC for a month requires immediate activation for most people. This isn't a good look.

I've put a LOT of interstate miles on in the last couple weeks, so not having the service for EXACTLY these trips has been a little annoying. There's been no lack of trying on my end haha

Reading your post got my attention because I also was going to activate Blue Cruise for a month. In my case my Son-in-Law was coming into town at the end of July for a weeks visit and he was going to be borrowing my Mach-E for that visit. He really likes Blue Cruise in the Mach-E.

Anyway I used Ford points just like you to pay for the month. It seemed to go through without issue. About 2 minutes after doing the transaction I turned on the Mach-E and saw this on the screen.

I haven’t driven on an interstate yet to test it but I’m assuming it will work.

I have a 2024 MME Premium ER AWD.

2021 First Edition? When did you purchase it? Silly question, does it have the BC hardware?

I bought it at the end of February 2026. And it does have all the hardware for BlueCruise. From what I understand, my vehicle should support version 1.3 of BC

When I bought my 2022 brand new it took 2 months for BC to activate waiting for either the dealer or someone on the Ford back end to switch something .. might be similar issue buying used or some unique FE quirk. I seem to recall reading here about FE and BC issues.

I don’t see in your posts what model year your MME is. You mentioned buying it in Feb 2026, is it MY 2026?

Ford made Blue Cruise part of a package that has to be bought separately in 2026. My understanding is that if you don’t have this package you won’t have the inch tall blank screen looking device directly behind the steering wheel. This contains the driver facing camera with which Blue Cruise makes sure your eyes are on the road.

Do you have this device?

Sorry, I have my vehicle on my profile and thought it was sufficient. I have a 2021 Mach-E AWD First Edition, basically has every option Ford offered for the vehicle at the time. I do have all the hardware related to BlueCruise, including the camera you're talking about.
