I got a deal on my 2024 and bought it. I don’t have a recently expired plan: it is more than a year and a half ago. My deal was $290 for a year. It turns out I road trip it more than I thought I would, and I can use it on my commute.

I suppose ford is happier making some money than no money.

For my '25 the app currently shows half price either monthly or annually. Not doing enough highway driving to justify it even at this price.

I'm not sure I'd pay $250 for a lifetime subscription. But I'm sure I won't pay it for a year. Just don't use it enough

if you cancel does it immediately cancel or just not renew come the end of the month
I cancelled yesterday and received a refund for my two unused days.

I've had BlueCruise now for 4 years as part of an initial purchase on my MME and Lightning, plus a free year extension. My MME is expiring next month. Let me start by saying I like BC, and it is a necessary step forward for Ford to remain competitive.

@Ford Motor Company, here are my thoughts:
  • There is no such thing as Hands Free Blue Cruise. If you try to do Hands Free, you are taking your life out of your hands. On MULTIPLE occasions in 4 years, I've had to save the vehicles, myself and occupants from disaster. Multiple times, BlueCruise was so confused that it tried aggressively to correct itself by swerving left. If there had been no intervention, it would have been catastrophic. Had my hands NOT been on the wheel already in Hands Free mode, it may have been a different story.
  • I get that BC has been in development, and I started on 1.0, and I am now on the BlueCruise version 1.4, but my latest incident was just last week on 1.4. I will admit, 1.4 is much better than 1.0. Progress is still required.
  • I am happy to continue testing BC; however, please realize that this system is not ready yet for full hands-free driving. If you want subscribers, you need to price it for what it is - Work in progress.
  • Instead of calling it Hands Free mode, you might want to call it Hands Ready mode (LOL).
  • It seems to work well on straight highways in broad daylight when the lines are clearly painted. If you throw in some night driving and some rain, it gets dicey.
  • I am supportive of continued development for BlueCruise. Please price it accordingly because I paid a lot up front for the hardware, and a lot up front for a 3-year subscription on each of my Ford vehicles for me to test this for you. I will not pay as much for a subscription as I did on initial purchase as I feel it was quite overpriced for the capabilities that I've seen in 4 years. I now know the capabilities and limitations of today in 1.4.

Yup. It’s the ā€œwe want you backā€ pricing strategy. Back in my DirecTV days I didn’t get a good price until i had already initiated the cancellation and received the cardboard boxes to mail back my equipment. Had to go through the process every year or so. Finally just went to streaming - all I miss is the sports but that’s where the $$$ is.

It is a little annoying that I already paid for the BC hardware and now I’m having to play games with the software pricing, but I guess after 4 years or so for a whopping $200 I really can’t complain too much. I’ll probably just sit on the sidelines and watch @Ford Motor Company flounder with maintaining a subscriber base for a rapidly aging BC 1.x product.

My subscription is scheduled to end in a month but I heard of free extensions and checked to see what was available and saw that I could get another year for $0.00 on my 23 model. Did you check to see what was available?
