Looks like the Mach-E had its lights on and was trying to clear the intersection and get through it. Even with the lights and sirens on you should always clear an intersection, even stop if you have to and not assume that other motorists see or hear you.

An unmarked Boston police Mach E that was driving the mayor appears to have run a red light and caused a crash.

That video makes this look like what we like to call an "accident."

The officer should have slowed more and checked more carefully, the driver of the white car could have slowed down sooner so it didn't have to lock up and the car behind didn't have to swerve, and the driver in the left lane should have responded to the siren and the stopping traffic and slowed down or stopped itself.

However, based on no fewer than 4 viewings of crappy embedded twitter video, it appears that the car didn't slow down until a last minute swerve, looking at the car behind dropping rapidly back. It does look like the car hit its brakes just as it pulled even with the white car in the right lane - maybe the first time the driver saw the Mach e. Also seems like the officer had just started the left turn and tried to go back right. Of course, seems unlikely he had a legit reason to be running lights and sirens and blowing red lights.

Yes, I’ve owned a Select and CR-1 and they both have the notched matte trim. Are you going to swap out your glossy mustache trim for the notched one?
