Hi everyone,

I thought I should post another thread to report this annoying buzz noise coming from the instrument panel cluster. It's so loud and giving me headaches. I have attached a video.
I am aware that this case has already been reported to Ford but there is no solution so far... Also Chudsaviet (from this forum) covered the IPC with 3D plastic (I am opting for this solution and waiting for materials).
But seriously, anybody else is having the same issue and what is your fix ?
Any update from Ford on this case for a permanent resolution ?
This is so frustrating ...
Thanks
Walter

Quite interesting...however we'd have to tear open the dash to do something like that, right?
Right. Maybe just a couple screws to access back there, or maybe you can access some wires underneath?

Mine doesn’t get here until November so I can’t test.

Umm... about those magnets -- are we all talking about the same kind of "noise"?

Sounds like electromagnetic interference or ground interference to me, common with electrical components.

Here is a video where they suggest to use them (along with other techniques that wouldn’t really help in this case) to reduce buzzing sounds.

I had to use some on my boat where the dimmer switch for the interior lights caused my stereo speakers to buzz.

It's extremely irritating yes. Perhaps the worst thing about this car.
Someone should open an IPC unit and replace the capacitors, and make a DYI guide.

Ford should seriously look into this matter . Has anyone reported the problem to them ?
Now I’m confused.

In the first post you said, “I am aware that this case has already been reported to Ford but there is no solution so far...”

That said, in one of the multiple other threads you referenced on the issue, someone has the whole unit replaced and it helped but didn’t eliminate the noise.

Sounds good. Let us know when you have the guide ready.

I don't see a smiley, but I assume this was a joke?

I have made a 3D printed cover, which is not very beautiful, but solves the problem.
