SSM 51689 - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Buzzing Noise - 2021 Mustang Mach-E (Non-GT)

The new IPC still makes some buzz. But it’s night and day compared to the old one. Previously, I felt uncomfortable sitting in the car while it’s stationary, with AC and radio off. Now it doesn’t bother me any more.

Just a heads up, be careful if you claim this SSM as the IPC seems to be weeks to order and once they have your car they won’t give it back because the IPc is ordered with the current mileage, thus the dealer holds the car until they can get and install it. From what I was told ‘the guy that writes the mileage is hit and miss, mostly miss’
This my car has been parked at the dealer for over a couple weeks.

Why is it ordered with the current mileage? They can adjust the mileage up on the new IPC, just not down.

I’m being told they write the mileage into the IPC at that time so basically they have to then hold onto your car so that the mileage lines up. Legality I guess.

Sounds more like an excuse. Maybe they took apart the dash before realizing the part was going to take a while.

Yes, I wouldn't put it past them. Last time I had a car at this dealer it was 4 months to replace the HVB, twice.

I stopped by the dealer. I guess my SA is on vacation or something, because the IPC is sitting there, since the 16th. The alignment isn't done either. No one can say why the IPC is just sitting there, or why the car is just sitting outside. But progress isn't being made either way.

And now I'm in the process of trying to get my car back. No one at Earnhart seems to really know the state of my car. I looked and I don't see any change on the IPC, it's still just as dusty as when I took it in. Car hasn't moved. More fun is that I get to drive 15 min there to try to find someone to actually tell me as phone calls, voicemails and text disappear to the voids.
