CA Route 1 does not open the tail gate after key press

I thought the key press on CA route 1 should open the tail lift gate all the way up but it is unlocking and just opening the tailgate.

Am I missing anything here?

California Route 1 has a manual liftgate. You can electronically unlatch it, but then you need to raise and lower it yourself.

The manual lift gate is one of the few differences with the premium trim level. Others include non-bose stereo sound system, manual passenger seat, different headlights, unheated seats/steering wheel.

Yup. I have a CA Route 1 on order that should arrive any day now. I found this trim level to be the sweet spot for me since it checked off two things I coveted: range and the glass roof.

2. The driver automation features (intelligent cruise control, lane keep assist).
3. A glass roof.

It is kind of designed to sit between the premiums and selects, and be the longest range vehicle they offered. It really targets those with range anxiety who don't want or need the premium features.
I thought about getting one, but I am going for the premium ER AWD instead. Its just a better fit for me.

All Mach-Es have most of the ADAS suite of technologies. The only things missing on the base Select are surround view cameras, park assist, vision based driver attention monitoring, and (eventual) BlueCruise.

Good point - I forgot to mention that the RT1 includes the Select's "tech/comfort package" with the required cameras for bluecruise.

Doesn't seem to have much the winter stuff like heated seats. No wonder we don't see them up here.

Note that the signature lighting is the turn signal that wipes.

On the Select & CA Route 1 the front turn signal simply flashes (the rear turn signals still have the sequence, however).

The Rt1 and Select have "reflector" headlights and the premium/GT/FE have "projector" headlights. Which means the premium drivers can see better but they blind the driver coming the other way

I think the Premium also has the 3 vertical LEDs in the headlight, which the Select/Rt 1 don't have.
