Does regen work at all when in neutral?

I suspect doing the test in neutral invalidates the whole test for how regen works when in gear.

No regen in neutral.

Regen comes from the motors, the motors are disengaged in neutral.

That's what I figured. So doing the test in neutral invalidates it. Need to listen for friction brakes with it in gear.
