I charged my 2021 MME Premium to 100% at home on Saturday because I needed to go round trip about 160 miles. To my surprise, it showed 256 miles which is much more than I've ever had. Anyway, there were high winds on my trip so the mileage went down so rapidly that I had to charge on the way back to make sure I could make it home. When I got home, I reset on the Ford Pass to 80% but it still charged to 100%. The Ford Pass on all my devices are 80% so why did it go to 100%? How do I fix it? Also, it looks like most of you are charging to 90%. Is that what Ford recommends now?
Thanks

Two possibilities:
1. FordPass settings didn’t get communicated to the car. I always make settings in the car for this reason.
2. Car didn’t know it was home due to location error.

Both of these errors are common and easy to deal with once you’re aware of them.

90% is the recommended daily charge level.

Also, you don’t need to change your charge limit. Once charging begins, you can click charge details in FordPass and there is a “Charge to 100%” button that will affect the current session only. This seems to work more consistently than changing location-specific parameters in FP.

Change the charging setting in the car (SYNC) not in FordPass.

Ford does not recommend charging to 90% daily. Ford recommends to not exceed 90% for daily driving. There's a difference.

The closer you are to 50% the better so if you can live with 80% then do that.

Also, double check that your charging location didn't get changed from "Use preferred charge settings" to "Charge when plugged in".

Also, it could be a case of bad timing. We have ours charge to 80% and when the 4.2.6 update came to us after the update our car charged to 100%. Since then it has been fine and not trying to charge to 100% again. So just making sure that you maybe didn't happen to get that update the day that it went to 100% again.
