So....
Was visiting a friend and he had a 110 plug (everyone does) but that did 1kw
The charger included with the Ford is a Nema 14-50 which he only had a Nema 14-30 so could not use the "delivered" ford charger.
So I was hoping to find a charger that had different "adaptors" for 110 (Nema 5-15), 240(I think Nema 6-20) (20amp) a Nema 14-30 and a Nema 14-50. Would love to have 1 "charger" I carry in the car that gives me the most versatility instead of needing to carry 2 or more chargers.

Has anyone built anything? like this? I have looked on Amazon and see a lot of variations but not one that does all 4..
I know this would require more "circuitry" etc.. If not maybe someone should invent one..
You just plug in the right cord in the top and it knows based on the cord the "max" it can carry. (Ford has 2 different cords you plug in the top)

Well the issue would be that various voltages use various plugs so no one charger will fit all. And it is not really safe to place adapters on plugs when you start pulling high amps. That is when a stop at a DCFC is needed.

The ones that I mentioned automatically adjust the amperage based on which dongle is attached.

My point to his comment was just that you still need a dongle for every socket type but as you point out one charger to rule them all! I think there is a story based on that!

I’m contemplating buying the Tesla mobile unit since I already have a Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter. It automatically adjusts its draw based on the mains cord being attached. It comes with a 5-15 and a 14-50 pigtail, with a bunch of other options available. I was planning on a 10-30 in addition. Total not including my Lectron adapter would be about $300. ??
