No drain error this morning, I would say give it a try
As I remember, this was something that happened over time. It is possible no error but still draining the battery a bit. I go t the error message, not knowing what it was weeks before knowing the real issue. I suppose taking a 12V battery reading each day to see if there is any drop would be a good measure. Not aware of any other user level items. Wondering if any DTC become available. I also have FORSCAN which would be a bit closer to obtaining diagnostics. Have yet to run it with MME however.

Charged last night no problems. For me I got the error the first day I installed the app back in September and each subsequent day, I removed it and tried it again two separate times and every night with the app I got the error. So far so good.

And I saved $1.60 on my charge last night. Although now that we are out of summer my electric bill has gone negative again with my 8.5kw of solar, so the credit will get even bigger!

That's great, but color me cautious. We know the app works in terms of capturing data to generate the rebate, but have the revision to the API reduced the polling below Ford's threshold? I think only time will tell.

Like I said I originally set this up in September and every night with it connected I got the drain message. It's now been connected a week with no messages and have charged twice no issue.

Got it - Watching to see if Ford locks you out of FordPass because of the ChargeSmart access.

I don’t trust EV.energy (the app developer) or SmartCar (the API developer) very much at all. I had this issue, and it persisted even after I disconnected and had EV.energy make sure that the connection was truly removed from my account. The only way I finally stopped the error from happening was by changing my FordPass password. I still use the program, but only connected to my ChargePoint account.

I would have gone that way but I dont have a smart charger, so my only option is the car connection.

I've got an Emporia charger connected to my Mach-E, this morning I got the same
"Electrical System Drain Service Required" message on the FordPass app. My car has been on the charger for about 3 days now, not driven at all. Is this drain because the Emporia App is pinging the car?

Unless you gave Emporia your FP credentials (don’t know if that’s even possible), it can’t ping your car.

Hey all, was going to start a new thread, but it looks like there may be some relation to the ChargeSmart app causing issues with authentication to FordPass and/or Ford Credit. Have been on chat getting the run around from Ford Credit and the FordPass groups. Problem I am having is trying to sign on to the Ford Credit site or via app and getting a standard IBM authentication error code CSIAH0320E

I am told this is an account lock and may stem from requests being made by the ChargeSmart app to gain access to the charging data via FordPass to the vehicle.

My immediate issue is that I use teh Ford Credit site to pay my monthly bill, and cannot access. I have since contacted SmartCharge folks to disable my account and have removed the app from my phone. Anyone else using ChargeSmart MA app experincing this or similar? I am in contact with ChargeSmart to report problems. Still can't seem to find anyone at Ford to acknowledge or unlock my account.

Yes and ChargeSmartMA know about the issue. I have not had a 12v Drain message since they disconnected. Oh and when you get access to FordPass again, change your password - that will ensure that the SmartCar service that ChargeSmartMA uses can't gain access again

When was the last time you tried this? I setup again a month ago and no more drain messages, working fine for a month now.
