How many of you would choose a hotel when traveling based on it having a Level 3 charger?

I look for L2 chargers.
I agree. If you're staying overnight DCFC seems like overkill. A hotel having a charger would influence my decision, but it doesn't need to be L3.

DCFC ("Level 3" isn't a thing) chargers don't belong at hotels, IMO. They're suited for off-highway locations that have easy on/off, basically where existing gas stations already are.

Hotels with Level 2 though, those could make a difference, but I'd prefer to not pay extra for the electricity - I don't use the pool, but it's in my rate, why should I be nickle and dimed for the electricity?

I wonder how the relationship typically works for charging stations at hotels.
In my mind there’s a vendor or contract with someone who installs, maintains and operates them.
Like the hotel leases the section of parking and then they get to say come to me because we have John Jacob Level 2’s. But the charging would be all app based and to a company not the hotel.
It would be cool if they made a hotel room key the access to the charger. And offered free charging for up to X nights or this size room. Something fun like that offers, incentives always get me I’m a sucker.
When the letter in the mail is from a dealership and it says, “this key could unlock this new truck and then it would be yours!”
I have to go see if I got the one that works! ?

Does it change your mind if there is a time limit and idling fee?

Many hotels have Tesla Destination chargers which would make having an adaptor worthwhile if you stay there.

I have stayed at a couple hotels with L2 chargers. I was not charged for using them. I made it a point to call them ahead of time to verify they were working and what the hotel's conditions of use were (time limits, etc.). Neither did. Since the Clarity fully charges in 2 to 3 hours. Once it was full, I always moved it so others could use the charging station.

It wouldn't change my mind, as it would make sense. One shouldn't hog a DCFC charger overnight; park there for an hour and move it so someone else can charge.

The percentage of hotels with DCFC stations is miniscule. The poll would mean a lot more if you change it to Level 2.
Agreed, there needs to be an L2 option as well. The only problem with hotel L2's (at least from reviews I've read) is that hotels stupidly put them in prime spots and don't enforce the "EV's only" rule - which leads to no one using them and the hotel drawing the wrong conclusion that there is no demand for them.

We've been air bnb'ing instead of hotels. Just prefer it much better. Picking the right one could lead to using our supplied Ford charger for level 2 charging.

Unfortunately where we are today, this house only has a 120v in garage. Added 13% overnight... so slow. But free, so better than nothing. No Ford network charger closer than 38 miles.

That's why for our big vacation drive to florida I tried to pick hotels with an L2 charger, but that were also near a DCFC charger as well: if the L2 is unblocked I'll use that, otherwise I'll hit the DCFC

I haven't had this come up yet in the Mach-E but in the Fusion, I'd find Level 2 hard to find (there's some around like the ChargePoint at the local Meijer, but not a lot), but I would look for outside outlets in the parking lot (such as on light poles) and ask for permission to use the mobile charger on their outlet. So far, every hotel has been like, "yeah sure, whatever" - they seem to accept that the very small delta in electricity cost is worth it for my obvious satisfaction.

with the Mach-E, since L2 is only doing the 2-3 miles per hour, the decision process will be by necessity different. On the other hand for now, at least, I've kept the Fusion for road trips, so.... ?‍♀
