Charging issues - UK

i I bought my Mach e AWD ER four and a half months ago and have never been able to charge it at home.
We got an ohme charger from octopus as recommended by Ford. We are now on our third charger. The car will not charge at home at all, even on a trickle charger.
The car charges everywhere else, at work, at friends houses, on fast chargers………..
‘Octopus have said it’s not them, they try it on their all electric vans and prove the chargers work. Ford are saying it’s not the car as it charges everywhere but at home.
Has anyone else experienced this? We are at our wits end.

What does it show in Ford app?
Go to:
energy tab
Then preferred charge times page
And also target charge page

I have it set to charge at any time. We used to have it set to come on during the night but changed it after noticing it hadn’t charged when going to work the next day.
Target charge has been set to 80, 90 & 100%. This doesn’t seem to make any difference?

And are these setting reflected in the car too?
What happens when you plug in, both to the car and shown in ford pass?
Set your wall charger to be on manually.
Do you have it set up in octopus app too? When you plug in does it detect the car and give you a schedule and the option to bump charge?

when we plug the car in it starts to charge but then there is an audible click under the bonnet and it stops charging. This happens whether it’s the wall charger or the trickle charger, but only at home.
if we keep trying to force charge the car as a max charge on the octopus and Ford app it just keeps doing the same thing.
We don’t understand why this keeps happening and why it’s only at home. Tonight we tried plugging the car with the trickle charger at our neighbours house but this wouldn’t work either.

Did you try deleting your home location (from within the car), then try charging?

It's because your car starts to charge then octopus is kicking in and pausing it.

Your neighbours is close enough that the car still thinks it's at home.

Can you give exact messages or a screenshot shown in those apps when the car is plugged in, it might give a pointer.

Yeah, I deleted the location and then tried to charge again. The charge still stops.

What about in the Octopus app - Devices page?
Everything gets its orders from here and it will override your car and ohme.

The photos in dark blue are the ones of the octopus app. Am I supposed to be looking somewhere else? Sorry this is our first electric car and it’s not going well!

That's the ohme app.

You need to be using the octopus app and have the car set up in there.

Okay, I’ve deleted the ohme app and installed the octopus one instead. I’ve asked to bump charge and let’s see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Hope that fixes it, you mentioned you have it set up in manual. I'm just wondering if it's a conflict with the octopus trying to control the charge while your car is too. Since it works at other places it almost certainly has to be the octopus. Just curious, any friends with an ev couldtry charging at your place?
