Recurrent is crap data.

When looking at trip costs, most people don't invest the necessary time to save money. This includes evaluating the cost of various charging options, like state A vs state B, or network A vs B, or location A vs B. Many don't sign up for the membership plan the morning of trip, then immediately downgrade, which takes effect in 30 days. Many don't seek out free hotel charging (and do the math to arrive with a SOC that results in 100% at departure), or free fast charging that sometimes exists. On a trip of 4,700 miles across 10 states, over 30% of our charging was free. Or include in the cost that the full battery from home cost much less for most people.

Many people don't focus on costs or time like I do. Fast charging to 100% on a trip (@4sallypdoe4sthis at home because his home utility cost is high) where you don't need the range wastes time. Time is money. That wasted time could be driving further, eliminating a hotel night, or a dinner cost. 80% and done, unless cost (per minute state), or charger spacing / conditions warrant more.
