I was reading this link about mach 3 in china
it says "Meanwhile, the EV crossover has been upgraded with a “three-electric system,” with range figures between 600-700 kilometers (373-435 miles) depending on trim. "
Do they get a different battery? or are miles shorter in China just like all the cloths sizes they sell in US are smaller than normal?

Remember that the range is determined by a government mandated test that specifies the conditions (temperatures, speeds, distances, etc.) and are usually conducted on rollers indoors. Actual mileage usually varies considerably from the advertised range. In ideal conditions, you could get 435mi out of a US Mach E as well.

The US, Europe, and China have EPA, WLTP, and CLTC testing standards, respectively. The CLTC testing standard range is about 35% higher than the EPA's.

I wish the EPA would adopt China's testing standards. I'd love to get another 35% of range from my MME.

The Chinese test is highly unrealistic. It tests the car for less than 10 miles and has a maximum speed of 67mph.
