Hey there,

I've had my Mach-E since October 2021 and have had a few software issues with it over the time, but nothing major. In the past couple of weeks I've started to notice that every time I get in the car, the clock is wrong. Sometimes by 10-20 minutes. Sometimes by over an hour. I haven't really put it to the test, but it's wrong EVERY time I get in the car. Whether I'm out shopping and only out of the car for a bit, or whether I leave it overnight.

For the past few days I've had 4.2.5 failing to install, but this problem started before that. Also 4.2.5 successfully installed overnight. Though I haven't taken my car out today to see if this is still an issue I am guessing it is.

I fix the clock to the right time every time I get in the car in the hopes that one day it will "stick." Any ideas? I would estimate this has been an issue about 2 weeks.

Have you done a Sync reset ? ( vol - and track |> until the screen goes blank ) Normally this sync's with gps time or a NST time server if Ford uses that in the Sync OS.

No but I can try that. The other day I also had my first-ever screen freeze on sync, so maybe there is a larger issue there. It froze on the startup animation and never showed any of my controls. I had to power off the vehicle (which still showed that frozen animation) and turn it back on to gain control.

My SYNC display has frozen four times in less than 2 weeks... Weird thing is I don't recall this happening prior to 2 weeks ago. A random reboot once in a blue moon? Perhaps. But a full lock up as is happening now, I cannot recall.

First time it happened was several minutes into a drive. The next three times were right after starting the vehicle. Two times the screen was fully black, and the other two whatever was on display was just frozen in place.

Each time, I regained control by using the steering wheel vol-down and next-track controls to restart it. Takes SYNC a full minute or two to restart and be fully usable/interactive.

Vehicle hasn't received any OTAs that I'm aware of since Power-Up 4.1.1 in mid-December, so I'm not sure what's recently changed.

Well I took it out for a short drive a bit ago and did the reset with the vol down + track next. Then I turned off auto-update of the clock and turned it back on as maybe there was a setting there not sticking. Who knows. We'll see how it is in the morning.

I just noticed the Ford clock is about 15 seconds behind my iPhone clock that shows via carplay. Inassume its a delay of Sync going to a Ford server and back again? Interesting but useless info.

I had the same clock problem. Tried the sync re boot and no luck. Then I found that somehow (maybe one of the OTA updates) had turned off the auto update for the clock time. Turned that on and now all is OK again with the clock time.

Oddly I went to check the auto clock setting this morning. As i scrolled down I literally watched the switch change from on to off. When I flipped it back on the clock jumped 3 minutes back.
