So, I was in a minor accident and was without the car for a month, no frame damage, no panel damage, job cost > 10k, parts are pretty expensive. Shop mentioned after the fact they still quarantine EV's, battery health checked, and all engine codes, sensor calibrations are addressed which was also a non-negligible cost. Insurance gave a hilariously low initial estimate, but shop was able to supplement and come to an agreement, all OEM parts.

Still love the car drives better in all aspects except rough road ride quality compared to the rental, way better sound system.

Replaced sensors preform as expected.

One oddity is that 1pd no longer crisply stops, maybe it never did I don't remember the little rocking at the end, may be due to habit formed while driving the rental, haven't figured it out yet.

I would 5/5 not recommend getting into a fender bender in a new car, repair costs and time are no joke.

Thanks. Helpful stuff. Unfortunately timely for me. I was at a dead stop and a guy reversed into my front bumper as he was flagging down his buddy at the taco shop. Just 1,000 miles  What shop did you use? Any other pointers? Glad you're enjoying your reunion.

Always had the rock back when stopped on OPD, car even backs up a slope if braked to a halt going downhill - work that one out if you can??‍♂

The rest is probably all in the mind.

One does tend to imagine or be over sensitive to things after an accident or other work done.

I used a high volume good reputation shop that is Ford certified and listed on the FCCN website.

A vehicle rocking after coming to a stop (EV or non-EV), is usually a sign of the brakes not being applied equally between front and rear of the vehicle.

I was lightly bumped a few months ago in the rear. Just kind of scuffed the paint and added a few deeper scratches. The other car had absolutely no damage what so ever to it. Ended up taking it in to get repaired because it would had drove me nuts. They had it for 5 days and it was $4,000 something... They had to replace the sensors cause they "could" had been damaged, and then had a 3rd party come out and calibrate everything lol

Glad it wasn't on my dime, but car repairs sure aren't what they used to be lol

Normally, but this is not that kind of rock, it’s more of a roll, the wheels actually roll free backwards for a second.
