I am getting this issue in my Cal route 1. Sometimes on a cruise control, it updates the speed by itself.

I have particularly identified few places where I am sure of. Was on cruise @ 40. Speed limit was 40 and suddenly cruise changes to 55.

Anyone else faced this issue?

If you've got Intelligent Cruise Control enabled, this can happen when the car sees what it believes is a 55 mph traffic sign or if the mapping data for that road segment is indicating a new speed limit.

To stop this, use either Adaptive or Normal cruise instead of Intelligent.

It might be wrong mapping? But if I don't use the intelligent cruise, then the blue cruise won't work :(.

I am quite enjoying it. But this surely looks like a bug.

The cameras read the signs from my understanding, not the onboard map data.

I don't have blue cruise yet... It doesn't let you enable it in Adaptive cruise?

For a pre-Blue Cruise car, I think the only thing intelligent adds is incorporation of posted speed limits. Whereas Adaptive Incorporates lane centering and radars for stopped or slowed traffic conditions.

I will check that option and see if that makes a difference.

However, the particular point has a speed sign @ 40. May be it is misreading something else..

It also jumps to 80 at one point in Freeway. CA doesn't even have a freeway with that limits.

Unless you have a pretty new Route 1 you won't have Blue Cruise. A lot of people get Blue Cruise confused with what the car does with just CoPilot. Unless you have a big icon showing hands free driving, then you don't have Blue Cruise.

As far as it going faster than the posted speed. Make sure you look at the tolerance, you can set the car to do +XZY mph over the posted limit. For example, I have mine set to +10 because no one drives 65 on the freeway in San Diego.

Just be aware of the features you have turned on. For example, I was merging onto the 94 from the 125 yesterday. 125 is posted at 55mph so I was doing 65. I had room to move over and started to get ready to change lanes. Then the car reads a 65mph sign for the 94 and stomps on the accelerator right as I started to move over lol Intelligent cruise can be nice, but it can also be a butt.

I was thinking exactly the same.

No blue cruise and check the speed limit tolerance in the cruise control settings.

This ^^^

It also reads the 45mph speed limit sign at the truck weigh station as you go by doing 70mph in the right hand lane...

I do not believe that it does anything but read signs, no database speed limit lookups.

I’ve had speed sign recognition turned off from the start, seems kind of pointless to me.
one of the roads I use everyday has a speed limit of 55 but the vehicle picks it up as 85 every time lol.

Mine has blue cruise. It is completely handsfree on my office drive.

Looks like Beta version, but does everything I expect it to do.
