There's another thread about it from a month or so ago. If you have a receipt for a keyfob, then you're supposed to get reimbursed.

Haha , unless your car was built July 3 or later, even if it was Job 1 that didn't come with an extra key fob. These are Job 1.5 vehicles

Haha , unless your car was built July 3 or later, even if it was Job 1 that didn't come with an extra key fob. These are Job 1.5 vehicles

But cars up to July 7th only came with one fob, and those cars don’t qualify for a second one.

June 16, 2021 build here so I fall in that 1 month gap.

I'm bringing in my car next week for the glass recalls and BC install (PowerUps for it failed in May and never reinitiated). I asked about getting a 2nd fob, figured it couldn't hurt to ask. The dealer referred me to Ford customer service. After getting bounced around the rep acknowledged the CSP excludes us with June 7-July 7, 2021 builds for some unknown reason BUT he was confident he could get one for me at no cost, said he would look into it, and get back to me. He confirmed today Ford corp. would pay for a 2nd fob and coordinated with the dealer I'm dropping off at next week.

Pleased and pleasantly surprised Ford stepped up.

I think it’s just a typo but it messed it up real good so it’s a pain in the butt fix

Called my dealer this past Wednesday and they were able to get the fob the next day. Went in this morning (Saturday) and it took about 1.5 hours total. No drama. no problems, no charge. The dealer noticed the HVBJB recall in the system, but I informed him I had gotten the OTA patch about a month ago. He stated it was taking about 7-8 hours for them to apply the patch. We discussed doing the BC update (I've been stuck on 2.7.4 since May). He stated that one was also an 8 hour job, if they did it. Since I'm not a big cruise control user and didn't pay for BC up front, I told him I'd wait for the OTA update, if it did indeed happen. Oh - I have a January 2021 build Premium AWD/EX. PPS - they had a Lightning on display - that thing is a monster!!! (in a good way).

That’s a good indication that you shouldn’t believe what that particular dealer tells you.

I’d sure love to submit my cost for my second fob to ford for a refund, but I too am the forbidden job 1.5 mach-e.
