MachE doesn't use Sync 3, in case anyone was concerned here. This is why our vehicles connect to a unique SSID on its own VLAN though, and we have another one for most IoT devices. The security in them is the last concern typically.

Yes. I do the same. The car can talk to the internet through it's own network so it can't see or touch any of my stuff.
And fancy me, got a sync3 car in the driveway. But it's wifi has been off for 10 years. lol

Don't as there's a bunch of us that have sync3 cars around still. Though the wifi function in those was utterly stupid. I look forward to downloading 2gb of crap onto an SD card and trying to update it the old school way of clicking a button. Man I hope my fingers SOC is above 80% and my high beams arn't on.
