Seen on Wednesday night at the local Tesla store in Chicago. They were closed at the time, but I’ll stop by today or tomorrow to take more pics. Quality of the class A surfaces look good. Gaps are consistent and seem pretty tight.

It’s still a very polarizing design. I personally think it looks butt ugly, but beauty is subjective.

It's roped off so you can't get a close look at the gapping.

Yeah they are supposedly arriving to various Tesla stores across the country (it started two weeks ago).

I missed seeing one in person at the Austin Electrify Expo by an hour or so... With that said, I have ZERO interest in a CT. Forget the looks... it's too much of a toy car.

If I wanted a toy car, it would be a ID.BUZZ or Ami.

Disagree! I can spot an inconsistent gap on a nearby car driving 80 mph on the highway. I spent 8 years building closure systems (doors, hoods, fenders, etc.). Fit and finish was literally the job. I wish I can unlearn it, cause I’m never happy with any car I own. Good news is that I can fix them ?.

have they announced pricing? I know he claimed you could get them for $40k, but only thing I've heard so far is 80-100k. I think at that price I'd go for a rivian, but they'll sell all they can build I'm sure.

It would be nice to have it in West TX. I got so many (more) rock chips on the MME bumper just from driving around town. I did not notice any rock chips on a Ram with powder coated bumper. No paint means no paint chips. Hopefully, the steel will hold up.

The bed hardly holds anything I’d want to haul
I don’t disagree, but “appliance” is not the term people typically use to mean impractical. Appliance is used to describe a dull, conventional design. This is the opposite of an appliance.

I am sorry but I would be almost embarrassed to drive something like that on the road. I am sure it drives just fine and offers many features that a truck should have and then some. I am not bashing the innovation at all. I just cannot get past how incredibly ugly it is to my eyes. Maybe it looks better (less funny) in person?

Most other Tesla models, to me, have been head turners, especially the 2016+ S 3 X. Model Y looks aren’t anything to write home about because it’s a swollen 3, by no means it is clownish.

I truly fail to see any elegance or charm in its looks. I hope it does well!

I shudder to think of how much a cracked windshield will cost to repair:eek:
