Picked up the new car today, wasn’t the smoothest handover and wasn’t EV stuff, was basics like paintwork gard-x badly down and low tyre pressure warnings, missing windscreen filler cap, loose plastic covers under front bonnet.

Car is going into deep sleep very quickly, we’ve done about 30 miles in it today. Reading here it seems it’s related to a 12V battery or potentially cold weather but it’s 7 Celsius here. Only been at the dealers 3 weeks, 19 miles on the clock -think it might need some daily running to top up that 12v battery?

I purchased a 13.8V power supply and did some light LVB conditioning. There is a big thread in this forum about how to do that. I was not experiencing any issues, but due to others with LVB concerns, I thought it would be good to do it. I plan to do a two day conditioning treatment (13.7 Volts constant for 48 hours) once a year.

Sorry to hear about the poor pick-up experience. Mine was perfect. It really depends on the quality of the dealership whether or not you get a good experience. They should have checked your car over before having you come pick it up.

It was Googling for deep sleep that brought me here, will read through, thanks. Hoping a decent run and charge cycle will sort it out - we’ll see.

Young sales guy was horrified at the state of the car, it had been PDI’d a few days earlier and I guess he learned today not to trust others if he’s going to hand one over.

This forum has a ton of great information for MME owners (and soon to be owners). If you want to learn all about the LVB, here is the thread to read:
