That's more understandable. I still think the service manager should have taken you out to dinner before giving you the bill.Yep, It was expensive. I should have shopped around a different dealers for the best deal, but I needed the car fast for work. Plus I think half the cost was diagnostic. It was out of warranty, so those aren't free.
I could have bought the battery for $180 and replaced it myself. Im not afraid to take the car apart. I was more concerned it was a bigger issue than the battery. Or I could have told them no diagnostic, just replace battery. But like I said, I was afraid it was a bigger problem like some battery module or something from the recall.
