Doesn't mean other EVs aren't experiencing similar issues... when my ID.4 shut down in the middle of the road - nobody could figure out why and the VW forums were pretty dismissive about it.

Now there's a NTHSA recall on the ID.4 on yet another LG chem battery issue (currently without a resolution) with batteries built in Poland.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2022/RCLRPT-22V162-1029.PDF

The build dates fit with my build dates.

At least folks here are trying to help+ isolate the problem and prod Ford to fix it.
That looks like it could be a huge recall for the ID4.

351 vehicles doesn‘t seem all that huge.
That’s what they speculate but IMO it should be larger number because my old VIN was NOT in the list yet was produced during the problematic timeframe. At least they isolated it to a certain timeframe to cars produced in late summer. The number of folks on forums reporting Electrical System errors was high In the fall and far less in 2022 so far…. much like how 12 V issues flared up here when chiphold cars were delivered.

I would hope they would figure out the DCFC stress issues. 1. I live in a townhouse, no 220... can't put 220 in. 2. These cars are being adopted as fleet vehicles. They need to be able to handle the rigors of daily driving and yes even sometimes multiple DCFC in one day.
Do you have 220V Dryer or Range that you can use a smart switch?

My MME (1550 miles) was towed to the dealership with this exact problem. I am a 71 year old widow and can no longer trust the car given the number of people who are having this same problem. Will Ford buy back my car?

Send them a message with your information (VIN, dealer, your name) and they will help setup a case for you. Then if you want to proceed with a buyback they will help look into if you meet the qualifications

in my opinion a maintenance charger is not needed if your MME is working properly. It is designed to pull juice from HV to maintain LVB. If it's not, then something is wrong and should be fixed.

great. If you ever see the accessory voltage below 11.9v when MME is sleeping, or below 13 when MME is 'on', something is wrong
FYI. If the AGM battery drops to 11.3 volts permanent damage will occur. If your vehicle has a charging issue it will kill the battery. As a result many believe the battery is defective when it’s not.

Thanks for that suggestion. Do you have any idea what the "qualifications" are for a buy-back?

It's going to vary case to case, I'm not sure there are any published qualifications to keep people from abusing it. But once you get someone assigned to your case, you can talk to them about it. They are of course going to try to work with you to come up with a solution that you are comfortable with but they also feel is reasonable.
You can call the customer support line and they will get you started on the process the same way the social media team will

Called dealer, 12volt dropped to zero (was 12 at home and then down to 11volts when on the truck and then shut down). Good place to go I guess.

They say it will take them two days to even be able to get it in to the shop to look at.
No rental replacement.

if it dropped to ZERO, and screens went dark, I'd guess Dealership should pull the Frunk tub and check the nut first. If that's good, move on to the HVBJB.
