This arguing or whatever it is, sounds very futile and trivial. If there's a point being made, I have no idea what it is other than being petty.

Your car if you have ordered one might not be ready as soon as you expected. So what? Get over yourself and turn on the news, the answers are all there.

It is because Ford is not under a microscope like the other pure EV players, they are not beat up in the news cycle for delays. Therefore slipping dates can be missed with no black eyes. If the Riven, Tesla, Bollinger, etc were delayed, it would be front page news. Ford gets a pass.
Everyone is under the microscope, but the news is not looking for the same thing.

Ford is watched to see if they can make a credible BEV, to measure their commitment.
Tesla is watched to see if they can make deadlines, to make sure they can stay in business.
Rivian and others are watched to see if they can make a production product at all, to see if they are a player or poser.

Technically not Ford, but an insider.
Really. You’re having a temper tantrum that Ford said 100% and should apologize for misleading us because some pie-COVID plans are delayed. Note your saying that Ford needs to apologize but technically it wasn’t really Ford that said 100%?

i have two people on a volunteer team I work with who are fighting COVID, positive test and symptomatic. Over one in every 1,000 people in the US have died from it. And you feel so privileged that you should gripe about some customers getting cars before a demo is available?

Give me a }<^%€#< break!

A very cogent thought.

Being very new to this forum, I was just wondering something.

Is there a forum preferred cheese to go with the whine expressed on here? :)

Not sure why the escalation, and why the conversion is continuing after a simple comment on what I see as a double standard of what classifies as a promise from Ford vs a promise from their competition during this trying time. You are obviously not understanding what I was saying (although others do, even if they don't fully agree). As others have said this is a trivial matter, so I will not respond to any comments on the subject after this post so you can have the last word.

If anything, I only said that Ford should communicate more. Last official word from Ford (technically Ford dealer) was in October that there would be test drives in December in local at the local dealer. That was well after Covid started. My gripe wasn't about customers getting cars before a demo was available. The point of contention was a relative minor nit pick that engineers sometimes do.

So now you think 100% of the information from dealers is right, and if not Ford should apologize? Really?

In my experience Ford don't tell you anything and the dealers will tell you want they think you want to hear. So who is wrong?
