Took delivery on my MME FE yesterday. Like others, an exercise in frustration. To make a long story short:
Now I'm home pulling my hair out over PAAK and Android Auto, but that's for another post.
- Like many, the car was delivered almost a month later than the original ETA.
- I've been in and out of my dealership for the past four months. I gave them a list of requests, including: ordering the interior protection package (rubber floor mats), provide a second key fob, and do the homework in advance on the Ford Options plan.
- So, of course... no extra key fob available, had the front mats, but not the one for the cargo bay, and the finance guy knew nothing about the Options plan until I emailed him hours before delivery the information I obtained through this forum.
- The car had been charging, but not longer enough, so delivered with a 87% charge.
- The good news was that they did not put their dealer logo on the car.
- The actual paperwork part went fairly smoothly. The finance guy, a young man named Matt, was a quick study on Options. He seemed to have the right numbers, but in the end, I decided to go with the .9% straight financing. They honored X-Plan pricing, including limiting their normal $800.00 doc fee to $100.00. He knew about the $100.00 credit for signing the OTA form. Tried to sell me an extended warranty at a pretty attractive rate, but I declined. Most of the forms were electronic and signing was quick.
- The sales guy said that they had the second key fob on order, and implied that they would provide it free of charge to make up for the delay.
