Regen happens in 2PD when you apply the brakes. The first part of the brakes are accomplished through regeneration and pressing harder applies the physical brakes. It is nearly seamless to the driver in 2PD; however if you pay close attention as you apply the brakes, you can feel the slight difference when the physical brakes kick in.I don't "get" how regen braking happens w/o the 1PD (I thought that the automatic braking IS the regenerative aspect, which doesn't happen w/o the 1PD), but I guess I accept that. I'll note that I prefer using 1PD, but, just as JohnFoxeSheet wrote in his marriage, my wife dislikes it too.
