On a related topic, how loud is the horn? On my Focus the first thing I did was install a Hella dual horn to gain a little street cred. Living in Silicon Valley, there's a shocking number of people who were riding a bike or a donkey last month and driving a car today.

Like a regular horn. Just most (all) the other cars I've experience with has a separate 'chirp/beep' to indicate lock/unlock. MME uses the horn so it sounds loud in comparison. o_O

Touch and hold the lock icon (above the open circle button) for a second or so. This works on both driver side and passenger side. But it may require key to be in proximity.

Alternatively, touch and hold 7•8 and 9•0 simultaneously for a second or so. This is what I do.
Pressing the lock icon works if you have fob or PAAK-enabled phone on you.
Touch and hold 7•8 and 9•0 simultaneously works without fob/PAAK.

I vaguely remember reading that some where. Thank you for the definite reference.

That difference sounds ... stupid. Why would a key be required to lock the car in one case but not the other. Well, maybe it makes sense, if you use the keypad, you likely know the key sequence for opening the door, so accidental lock out is less of an issue.

PaaK works pretty well for me (except that it doesn't detect the phone in the driver seat when it's in my pocket. But it's a nice reminder that I put it on the charging pad, so not a big negative). But it's not 100%. So I use 7•8 and 9•0 for locking the car.

Press this right? No workie. I have the mirrors set to auto fold when locked so I should see the mirrors fold in right? I see a red light when holding 7-8, 9-0 but no idea if it is locked or not. AND the horn still goes off. I can' believe how something that should be so simple...isn't.

When the car locks, the horn should not go off when you walk away. If it does, it didn't lock. Unless you turned mirror folding off, the mirror folds when it locks, so it's very obvious whether it locked. I lock explicitly every time I leave the car, so I'm certain.

7•8 and 9•0 doesn't require a key to be present. Since PaaK reliability isn't 100%, that's why it's useful. Otherwise, I don't find 7•8 and 9•0 to be any more or less convenient than the lock icon.

Check to see if it's the one nested in the Walk Away Lock.

It's the one in the middle of the photo, not the one toward the bottom. It's really confusing. They should've emphasized the separation of the submenu a little bit better.
I am pretty sure I turned that off tuesday, but it was before I created my profile in sync4a. I vaguely remember the settings going back to defaults after creating my profile, pairing my phone as a key, yadda yadda yadda. When I changed that setting tonight, the car stopped beeping when I walk away and it locks.
