I'd be cautious about adding a screen protector. After years of taking the screens in my cars for granted ... I updated a radio on my Prius with a radio supported CarPlay (so it added a screen).
Unfortunately *that* display was not polarized and I had a lot of nasty reflections making it very difficult to read. It was the first time I had ever experienced the problem and realized that in-car displays are normally polarized to make them readable.
Adding a non-polarized film to the front of it ... will probably make it less readable.
