Order the paint directly from Ford. I tried off brand ones and the blue didn’t match 100%. Also didn’t have the flakes.

Then use a 1mm applicator to fill it in a little at a time until the new paint is just above the surface. Wait at least 30 minutes between each application. Longer the better.
Once it’s above the surface, rub it with a damp cloth to make it the same level as the original paint. The paint is water based, so will come off with not much effort.

Thanks, how do I get paint from dealership? Their service department should have it?

That’s not a ding. It’s just a small paint chip. I got Grabber Blue and clear touch-up paint from Touchup Direct. Very good match and they have tutorials. ??

Reviving an old thread here a bit @AliRafiee but should I do this myself even if I have my vehicle on lease? Not sure what the rules are but I'd rather take care of it for cheaper myself unless I'm forced to do all work at the dealership per a lease.

Small chips are not a big deal according to what I've seen. To me personally, a small chip is a big enough deal so I like to touch them up. ??

I'd normally agree but these are deep and don't want the possibility of rust so I'd like to fix it to essentially seal it.
You will have to work very hard to get rust there. Most panels are aluminum or plastic.

BTW, ford parts has a similar part size and price but you can use points to redeem it :)

Hi Ali

I jump on this thread since I discovered a ding in my trunk panel caused by 1 of the women in my house.

It looks too small for PDR, but maybe I can do it following your steps above? I saw that I can order the paint from Ford.

Thank you

That looks like it’s at a curve and on a plastic part. And is there a chunk missing?

Yes to both. I discovered it today as I washed and applied Turtle wax hybrid thing. I assume that being on the curve makes a repair harder.

EDIT - no, it's not a hole, so no chunk is missing. Simply the blue paint scrapped off against the garage door. ?

At the curve it is a bit harder. Clean it up and give it a shot. You can’t make it any worse.
Just apply in small increments.
