When the car is on plug the telematics remain "awake" so it processes the command more reliably.... and forcing the car to charge to 100% (which is weirdly reliable).
When the car is off plug, it's alsmost asleep if you're more than a few minutes after a drive, so stuff is way flakier. It's why the first remote command is usually so slow, and then once you remote start for example you can lock/unlock/cancel start way faster.
