Does Charge Assist exist?

So if it's not obvious, you need to go drive your car so it can download.

If you are way behind on OTAs (e.g. you don't have the record feedback app) you may not get it.

My car gets driven every day and 12v is pretty much always sufficient. I had feedback app for months and received Tesla update the other day.

didn't get this app until getting on this thread a bit earlier today. I Have been getting updates but seems later than most . I think last major was 2-3 weeks ago something with FX and before that 6.4 or .5 can’t remember.

I never knew such a thing existed... and now, despite knowing it exists, I have no clue what it does.

By the name, I can only assume it call a person to come plug in your vehicle for you, like a full- service gas station attendant....

It's so you can find and activate BOCN chargers from the touch screen without using your phone. Does the same stuff as FordPass.

Charge Assist was rolled out starting Sep 23. I received it about 2 months. 2022 Select Job 2, from Canada.

Nifty, although with the Tesla SC update, it looks like I get plug&charge back again (maybe...) so it'll be quite a bit before I need to use it. But it's good to know it's there

It shows the charge speed right on the screen. It allows to activate and end charging right from the screen. Help to navigate to chargers and start preconditioning the battery on the way to charger. So its quite helpful but I did not get update either on my 2021 model. I just got the tesla plug and charge update 2 days ago, but no charge assist.

I had a chat with a Ford EV specialist regarding Charge Assist. She said it is now called Public Charging and that I have it in my FordPass and in my MME. I see nothing labeled Public Charging in the app or in the MME. Anyone else have "Public Charging?

IIRC it shows the maximum speed the charger is capable of, not actual speed. You can see actual speed in FordPass. It also does not precondition the battery. You have to find the charger in the nav in order for preconditioning to work.
