Does the Parking Break automatically disengage when moving from parked position? I hope so, as it is easy to forget to release it manually!!

Yes, it does.

1. Close the driver door.
2. Shift into gear.
3. Press the accelerator pedal and pull

Yes it does. On a side note Ford updated the PCM on our 2020 Explorer ST. They changed it so the parking brake automatically engages when you put the vehicle in park. It also automatically disengages when you start driving.

I have noticed at times if I want to back up while parking brake is on I need to release it manually.
