My 2022 Mach-E has a door fault service warning light. Everything is operating fine. I called Ford and was told they are working on this issue. A solution should be available by the end of quarter 3. Is anyone else having this issue?

No, they gave you the wrong information. A door fault means your electronic latch is going bad and needs to be replaced ASAP. It is not the recall. The car is warning you before the latch ceases to function and you won't be able to open the door.

Call again and make an appointment for service. Tell them your door latch is going bad and the door will only intermittently open. That should get the issue classified correctly.

I just got the same warning on my 24 with just a few days past one year of ownership. Funny enough, already have a Thursday appointment for a broken vent so I get to add this issue to the list. Currently at 33,827 miles. 😅

This just happened to me after the 12v door software update. I have the premium extended warranty and it STILL isn’t covered. It cost me $720!!
how do I appeal the non- covered status?

Not covered with PremiumCare extended? My door latch failed in June, they replaced the lock mechinism, the faults errors persisted, so they replaced it again, then the wiring harness, the actuator and latch. All of that was done for a 1 time $100 with my PremiumCare Warranty through Granger.

I have the extended warranty through Ford motor. I believe it’s different.
Granger is a Ford Dealer. They do a lot of extended warranty sales (other than California and Florida).

Mine is also through ford, PremiumCare, when I took mine in the door was opening by itself, which started the replacement parts journey, and then the door fault service persisted. Could that be the difference? Although at the time I also mentioned I was getting lots of reverse/rear cross traffic faults, and tried updating a bunch of modules, and that was included in the $100 deductible to look at the door.

Wow, that is great advice thanks.
After a total of 4 calls and 3 hours on the phone with FordCare, I got to a person at the extended care warranty division- 1-800-321-7790. He told me that the part number that they approve is a different number and that it was covered, even though it is the same part! I think this may be the secret key - the part is supposed to be submitted as a Causal part #: 1021812. I will keep all posted as I navigate this with the dealer.
