I have the issue Door malfunction service required, just few month after extended insurance was expired.
Door microchip/ latch is placed in such plastic.
Water can enter, but can not evaporate in this plastic cover. And microchip was damaged. When we took away the microchip - it was wet.
To replace it cost 800 Euro here in Lithuania.
But as we understand it could happen the same for all 4 doors,? And periodically....hmm?
I think there is an issue for Ford Motors. How water can enter here - if the car was never drowning or something?
