Got around to having the Eibach lift and sway bars installed on my 2022 GT. Also, replaced the tires with Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive 255/50R20's. I considered other tire options from the great tire threads here, but some weren't available in this size. The Michellin CC2s were also an option, but the WeatherActive was rated better by TireRack and was considerably cheaper. Given the load rating of the WeatherActive tires (109), I've inflated the front to 33 psi and the rear to 36 psi based on the load sticker on the door jamb.

Like the ride so far. It is smoother, more planted and less bouncy over some areas that historically were a mess. Love the higher ride height (about 32.5" to the top of the fender) and extra ground clearance as well. Haven't noticed a hit on range but can't say that I've been tracking carefully.

Here are a couple of pictures.

I’ve been debating about the lift, but didn’t want to raise it too much.
Is it actually 1.5” of lift with the GT/ER battery? I’ve seen some others note 1.5” but I thought that was with a standard battery AWD and curious if yours is still 1.5” or a little less?

Thanks Mark, no I didn’t. And this is a great comparison. I really prefer everything you say about the lowering springs ride, but being in the city, I’ve been trying to stay away from lowering if I can and seeing how many people do the lift and their results. I couldn’t recall if Eric’s was ER or not? I didn’t see the X on his side badge but also wasn’t sure if that made too much of a difference on the height anyways.

Eric's was not an ER but it really does not make that much difference. Also, the lift springs are not progressive so they won't give you as smooth of a ride as the fully progressive lowering springs.

Hi,

I read through a bunch of pages and saw the front sway will fit a GT. Eibachs site still says it is not compatible with cars with magnaride. Is this still the case and has anyone tried it?

Also, would you recommend skipping the rear as the rear rate looks to be very similar?

I’ve done Eibach front and rears on every vehicle I own and usually like a stiffer rear on the road for more roll, but would this car torque vector better with the electric motors?

Thanks!

It is compatible with every model Mach-E and I have installed them on every model. Eibach does not list them to be compatible on models that they have not actually installed them on.

Anyone upgrade the front sway and drive in snow? I want tighter handling at the front but am worried about introducing more understeer and losing the car on ice.

You will love it. Transforms the car into how it should have come from the factory.

One more follow up question. From post near the beginning, it shows that the Eibach rear sway bar spring rate is very close to the OEM GT PE. Has anyone tested swapping just the front sway bar with the OEM rear, vs the Eibach rear with a similar spring rate?

Logic is telling me that there is no point in replacing that rear if the springs rates are similar.

Is there anybody here running the Eibach front bar with the stiffer Steeda rear bar?

I want to do the front bar for sure as I feel like it would help turn in and handling, but I don’t want my car to become understeery. I also like the feeling of a rear that pushes slight oversteer.

Please Let me know your thoughts and experience, especially in the snow and ice!

Cheers!

I have the Eibach in the front on the stiffest setting, and Steeda in the rear. I originally had the Steeda front bar, but it was rubbing on the half shafts, so I replaced it with the Eibach.

I like how flat the car is and would not want a less stiff bar in the rear. Although if I put a lot of weight in the rear, like two people and a trunk full of luggage, I have had the bar hit when going over a big bump. It only happened a couple of times, because I rarely have that situation.

^^^^ I want to comment that the Steeda rear bar contacts the body when the car is heavily loaded. You will not have this issue with the Eibach rear sway bar.

eibach springs and swaybars now in for about a week.

like @markboris suggests, i would've loved if it came this way. it definitely handles like a sports car now :) similar to ride to my last car with eibach springs and bilstein shocks except maybe slightly less comfortable.? might just memory bias and by the time i sold the old car it was "worn" in. but maybe it's just the limited travel the mach-e has to work with? the drop is barely noticeable, at least 1 week in, so those worried about too much drop, don't. again, perhaps it needs more time to settle and/or the previous oem springs (i'm at @52k miles) had sagged a bit so there's less difference?

the mach-e is still just a stiff-legged ride so those thinking the progressive springs will make it suddenly feel like a lexus and it'll just eat up bumps, it does not do that and is not a luxury ride. it definitely takes the edge off sharp bumps and there's definitely not the prolonged pogo'ing that people have complained about (never super noticeable to me) unless you're driving over a stretch of uneven pavement, in which case you will feel it in that the car is just tracking that pavement.

it's stiff like a typical sports car is stiff. also those thicker sway bars also means one tire over a speed bump isn't as comfy as before since it's deflection is now more tightly connected to the other.

the standout feature is the cornering.

flat, on rails! fun as hell to go around corners or on/off ramps now.... even with the hankook ions which aren't as performance oriented as the michelin pilot sports i had before it's super confidence inspiring. coming from FWD to RWD was already awesome. now it's even more awesome.

worth $1000+ in parts/labor? up to each owner, of course, but i'm keeping the car and enjoy spirited driving. so for me, averaged out over another 4+ years, it's a nice upgrade. i wish i had done it sooner to enjoy it sooner.
