Hello, helpers. this morning when I went to leave for work. I noticed an error on my phone to start with. Which said what the title here says the elecyrical system drain service. And so I read up on it on the forum and had the little battery checked and the little battery is okay, it's still under warranty, though, so maybe I'll take it in. I also noticed that after I opened the doors, they would not close, they would they would

catch on the locker post like the latch would not open up to let them close. So I took a screwdriver to open the catches. So the doors would close and so far So good what do you think?

I think I’d be heading to Sonic!

Seriously, how old is your car? Do you have any aftermarket accessories connected? How was the battery tested? A simple CCA test that auto parts stores often do is not adequate.

My girlfriend has this alert on her PHEV Escape every morning (electrical drain). She has no accessories plugged in and her 3 year old 12v battery tests good. Knowing 12v batteries only last 3-4 years in the South Carolina heat, I'm positive it's getting ready to go, but the dealer procedure is to keep it overnight and verify the alert pops back up after 12 hours turned off with nothing plugged in.

I gave her my battery jump box for when it inevitably goes, since it's still under warranty and she plans to drive it to the dealer for a new one when it finally does.

This is likely an early sign your 12v battery is having trouble holding charge. You can have the dealer verify this overnight if you're still under warranty. If no warranty, probably safest to just get a new 12v.

Given your abnormally low mileage, I would guess your car sits a lot unused which would confirm the battery isn't charged regularly and will probably have a shorter life. When you get the new battery you might want to use a tender if it sits for weeks undriven. Same goes for gas engine cars that aren't driven often. The 12v battery likes to sit around 80% charge for optimal life.

I started getting this message every few weeks in the summer/fall of 2025 on my 2023. No actual issues reported with the battery but I went ahead and replaced the 12v battery and it stopped.

Though, that said, I've got the message twice in the last 1-2 months. I also have no accessories or customizations of any kind.

I got this after installing aftermarket dash cams. The parking config was incorrect, and it was always recording. Also, I still send a text to Ford Support (734)892-0892, monthly to get my LV battery status. last status showed battery at 97% and 12.8v

I had the exact same situation. Took it to the dealer and they ran diagnostics. It showed that there were uninstalled updates that they tried to install but in the process a module was bricked. Took two extra days to get the module shipped and replaced. All updates could then be done. All issues were resolved. Took 3 days to repair including overnighting the part. All covered under warrantee. I have a ‘23 GT PE

I got the same messages on March 18 on our 2023 Premium with about 18,000 miles. We have nothing connected to the USB ports or hidden under the dash like a tracker. After a couple of restarts the message went away. Nevertheless, my wife wanted me to take it into the dealership. After some bafflement because there was no longer a message on the IP, I showed them the message in Ford Pass. They took the car to check it out. I got it back several days later. The only explanation they had for the message was that they found an old update that needed to be made and that they didn't get the message any more after test driving the car (well, duh, I didn't either). They said they tested the 12V battery and it was fine.

I've seen a couple of threads since March reporting the same issue on 2023 MMEs, so I'm beginning to wonder if it might be a software glitch

I have a 23 build with the same issue. Battery was tested and found to be ok, but 1 year down the line a 12v battery was replaced, no more issues.

A year ago I also had the battery tested and it failed and was replaced. When I had the recent electrical drain issues, battery was tested and it passed. At that point there were updates that had not been pushed OTA and when the dealer tried, they wouldn’t update, a module was bricked so it it had to be replaced. BTW The module replacement required passenger seat removal. It seems the module originally wouldn’t accept updates and made the car undrivable that led to module replacement. With the new module all updates were finished and problem corrected

What do you text Ford support? Is this somehow automated?
