Range drop in moderate cold (40-60) and conservative driving isn't that bad as long as you don't use the car's heater. But in 30's or less, be prepared to see a dive, especially if you do use the heater. That is why Ford reccomends heated seats and steering wheel as an alternative if you can stand it.

I've dropped from roughly 2.9mi/kWh average mixed city/highway driving to like 2.4mi/kWh average around 40ºF. It can be lower on short drives too where the heat is running a lot since I rarely am plugged in to pre heat the cabin.

On a road trip at 40ºF I did about 2.2mi/kWh at 70-75mph - from 100% SoC that would be roughly 190 miles estimated range.

The reality is the GOM is pessimistic, but you do lose a lot of range in the winter it is just how it works.
