I’ve been using Blizzaks LM005 for a few years on my Mach-E’s. They’ve been great and have the appropriate load and speed ratings.

Michelin X-Ice has been excellent here in Wisconsin.

This is what I went with this year I've never had ANY Vredestein tires, but the ratings on these were excellent from what I saw. I made it through just fine on all-seasons last year, but I wanted a bit more moving forward, so we'll see how these do.

If they had Blizzak WS available in the right size, I'd probably have gone with those (though I'm sure the DM or the LM are fine). That's what I've had for every other snow tire in the past (and my wife's Forester has WS-80s)

I've had Blizzak and Vredestein on several different vehicles in the past. I've found the performance very similar and the Vredesteins are usually considerably less expensive. If you local shop doesn't carry, you can always order from Tirerack.com

I usually put snows tires on the stock wheels, stock width.... and, go +1 on width for all-season tires on after-market wheels. I am really liking the Conti dws6+ for all-season. I've got them mounted on Enkie tsv-5 wheels 1" wider than stock.

Although I do know winter driving, I do a lot of driving and deep rain and the Michelin cross Climate seem like it would be some great tires in the snow!

Do you keep them on year round? The description of an all season/good enough winter tire combo almost seems too good to be true. Any downsides to the CC2?

My wife is the most sensitive passenger you could have. I got these number one because they rode real smooth. They’re quiet. I don’t care what other people say. It’s quiet to me. I cannot hear the road. I’ve literally I’ve done 100 miles an hour and a car pulled in front of me and I had to do an invasive move and it did not even swerve. It was scary How grippy they are and in the rain you can do the speed limit without even worrying about it it’s always summer down here on the Gulf Coast so I absolutely love them people up north say they’re really good in the winter.

I have another vote for the Vredestein Wintrac Pros. They are the first snow tires I've had and they are much better than the stock tires and better than the Michelin Defenders I have on another vehicle. The Vredesteins have been solid for the last two winters.

If you pick a premium manufacturer they are all good. One thing about Nokian they are designed for places that don't get plowed. If you live in Alaska they are perfect if you live in Michigan you are better off getting an all weather. This winter I am going to do the Quatrac Pro+ but I will take them off come summer. For the past 5 years I have run the wintrac pro and they are awesome much better wet weather performance than most winter tires
