My phone was out of my pocket on the wireless charger and Ford Pass wasn't open. My key fob was by itself in my front pocket so it wouldn't have been something pressing buttons either.

I believe this was 100% a software glitch.

I have stopped keeping my fob in my pockets because several times I have been near the car and leaned over, or squatted down and had the hatch open or all the windows roll down (that during heavy snow that required an annoying amount of cleaning the snow out of the car before it thawed). I have concluded that the fob buttons are quite senstive and squeezing in my pocket was triggering.

Since I went all PAAK I have not had this happen again.

I thought that you were referencing that movie Everything Everywhere All at Once. Which reminds me, I need to watch that movie.

You're probably right, and it's not that people here don't believe there are software glitches (this car runs on glitches), it's just so unusual to actually see a new glitch that hasn't been mentioned here before.

Maybe those steps that you performed in that order are the cheat code to open everything, everywhere, all at once?

The only thing that happened that could have been fob-related is the hatch. Unless there is some obscure cheat code as mentioned above.

It's in the user manual, page 119 of my version:

GLOBAL OPENING AND CLOSING
WHAT IS GLOBAL OPENING AND CLOSING
You can use the remote control to open the windows with the ignition off.
USING GLOBAL OPENING
1. Press and release the unlock button on the remote control.
2. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote control.
3. Release the button when the windows start to open. Press the lock or the unlock button on the remote control to stop global opening.

Damned - I even tried searching for it and couldn’t find it. Thanks for the correction.

That said, I realize I don't have an explanation for the frunk opening. I know a few Euro models got a frunk button instead of the panic key, but I doubt that's the case here.

My salesman showed me this feature and I use it all the time. It's great for hot days to let the interior breathe for a few minutes before starting up. Press the lock button on the fob once and then again and hold to close all 4 windows together.

This reminds me of that movie I need to watch.
Reminded me of Life in the Fast Lane.

Everything. All the time. Surely make you lose your mind. And the Mach-E is terminally pretty.
