Car has spent a total of 3 weeks in shop for sync issues, finally the mapping works, but now the computer does not recognize battery capacity of 306miles and car play only connects via USB. scheduled for another date to fix this. Thinking right now the computer is totally messed up. Battery capacity fluctuates between total charge capacity of 210-256. this should not be related to driving habits, I get you use more battery when the heat is on, driving in the mountains, etc. that's a separate issue and understandable. This was not an issue before bringing it in.

Anyone else having this issue??

Probably still is fine. Dealer likely reset the mileage calc (which you can do in settings).

I'd drive it a bit before calling the dealer.

I agree with Jaime. I know the feeling of watching the car's behavior like a hawk after a module update done by the dealer. If your history was reset (like mine) the car defaulted to a very conservative mileage estimate. Couple that with temps dropping, and mine are down 30 miles and slowly rising. Check your phone settings to make sure you have given permission to both the Carplay and Fordpass apps to use bluetooth. That was my issue. Maybe reload an app to make sure they are working. Hope it all shakes out!

After a reset, the car defaults to a worst case range estimate. Ford really does not want people to get stranded and then say "IThe computer said I could go 270 miles!" even though it was 32F/0C and run out of electrons at 220 miles.

It will take about 500 miles, give or take, for the range to adjust to your driving style. My estimated range increased by 50+ miles after mine was reset. The range seems to adjust on recharging, and it takes a few charge cycles to settle in.

you are proceeding from the false assumption that the estimated range is meaningful. it is not. there are literally dozens of of threads open right now about the guestimated range being reduced significantly due to cooler weather. it is inaccurate

Hi there, Jim! This definitely doesn’t sound like the experience we want you to be having– If you'd like to, go ahead and send a message to us with your VIN and approximate mileage. I’d be happy to look into this for you. Thanks!

Appreciate the follow up. I've read through the information that others have suggested. As for the CarPlay issue, I've done just about everyone from deleting my phone from the car and adding back in. When I do that the car will accept a wireless usage, but when the car is turned off and I get back in, while the phone is on the list is goes back to USB for connection and will not recognize a wireless option.

As for the battery capacity issue. I totally understand that mileage is effected by driving conditions, weather etc.. but I think this is different because the total chargeable value should be a constant 306-ish when being charged, if I'm in rain, if its cold, I'm driving over mountains. Yes the mileage drops and therefor the available distance should also drop. I live in Oregon, so I'm not sitting in the Antarctic where I'm constantly sitting in sub-zero temperatures. Never had this issue for the first 5,000+ miles on the car, then the issue with the navigation system emerged and when I got it back..navigation fixed, carplay does not work, and mileage capacity sitting at 220-ish. a Margin of 80+ seems like more of an issue than driving style or conditions, when my primary commute of 70miles/day has not changed.

happy to have any follow up conversation. VIN#3FMTK2R78MMA35130. F

You're not the only one that has suddenly lower range on the GoM. My car went from displaying 215miles at 90% SoC, to showing 180 Miles at 90% SoC the same time everyone else on the forum started reporting it.

Since then, its slowly crept back up, and is now showing 200 miles at 90% and its because we went back up into the mid to upper 70's outside.

It would seem that when it sees outside temps under 50F it starts to calculate lower ranges to take into account heating the cabin, and the battery. Doesn't mean that you truly lost that range. Its still just a guess at your range.
