Does anyone have any suggestions for extended Warrenty after purchase? We were told we could oirchase one NOT from the dealer, just wondering if they are worth the $$ and who offers them other than the dealer.

Search Grangerford esp. I bought an extended warranty and a triplecare plan from them. I think they sell a Mopar plan that is comparable to a triplecare with more coverage.

I agree with @RickMachE - do not purchase a third party warranty. There is a thread where you can purchase a Ford extended warranty fo $50 over cost. If you want one I would look into that. My wife worked at a dealer for 35 years and we always purchased an extended warranty because we got them at cost. We used them exactly “zero” even though we kept a few cars for fifteen years (had to keep something around for the kids.) As conservative as I am I will not purchase one with my next car as the most critical items have fairly long warranties already. I know many have had issues with their Fords but we have owned several and all we have had were regular LOF appointments and replace worn rubber items. 16 months and no issues with my Mach.

Why, whats the difference?
The Granger is $50 over cost. I love my car and plan to keep, so i got the 8yr/100k mile premiumcare, it was under $1700. Very easy transaction, quote and buy online, you can use Ford Points, and within 24hrs the warranty showed up in my ford account.

And by doing this I guaranteed that my car will not have a single issue until 8yrs and 1 month, or 105k miles :)

So i got my Mache 3 weeks ago and i did get the extended warranty through the dealer. I did, because i drive about 60,000 miles a year and they offered me a 6year/ 175,000 mile warrenty on everything except tires. It includes all fluids, brakes, and everything electric.

It wasn't cheap, but i have the peace of mind that any major repair will be covered.

You may want to get a quote for the same warranty from Granger. You can likely still return the one you bought from the dealer if it's substantially more expensive. You may also want to look at the price of the maintenance plan you bought and see if it makes sense. They usually don't for EVs since there's so little maintenance.

When I showed the dealer's finance guy the Ford quotes obtained from Granger Ford and Flood Ford he took back the flyer on his $7000+ service contract from a company that fails to even mention EVs on its website with the comment, "well ours covers more!"

He also tried to sell me gap insurance on my $0 down, 7yr @0% APR, $1000 rebate, loan from Ford Financial with horror stories of totaling the car after 2 years and being "upside down" after insurance settlement for "fair market value." His gap insurance would have added several hundred of dollars PER MONTH to the cost of the loan!!!

I didn't look up the fine print when I signed on the dotted line. Looks like my extended warranty is through US Warranty Corporation. Probably screwed myself on that one.
