Hi all,
This may be a dumb question.

I’m thinking of purchasing a used Mach e, however it is not from a Ford dealer. My question: Can you purchase an extended warranty from Ford, if not purchased from a Ford dealer?

If you want Ford's extended service contract, you have to purchase it from a Ford dealer. It can be any Ford dealer that wants to sell to you... there are a few well known Internet based sales from certain dealers, for instance.

I think my question wasn’t clear. The car would be bought from a non-Ford dealer, but i want to purchase the warranty from Ford.
Based on your response it looks like I can do that

Add long as the vehicle still qualifies based on time and mileage, you can purchase a Ford ESP.

If you live in our Sanctuary state of California, then you cannot purchase the inexpensive warranties from out of state. Just full price from California dealers.

I heard that, uh, you can just use a random address in a different state as they won't use the address for anything (mailings, etc.) and the warranty will still be fully valid in California.

I just have bad luck when it comes to cars and I want to make sure I’m covered. Rather pay a few hundred than a few thousand lol

That’s fair enough, what works for one may not for the next man. If you feel a benefit it’s worth paying for.

I bought mine Monday. It was in my FP this morning. Unlike my wanted settings. For those that say ESP's are a waste, they are if you can't cancel it. It's prorated at least. I bought mine because my rear camera has been an issue since day one. So far no one has fixed it. I fully expect them to figure out how to fix it after its out of warranty.
