Finally, Android Auto - battery information showing in Google maps

Ah yes. On the mobile app, just click on "charging stations" and edit the filter to show "NACS (non-tesla)". That seems to only show v3 super chargers. Sweet.

Correction: Maps will display Superchargers that work with the adapter when it's not connected to the car. However, when connected to the car, the app (both on phone and on AA car screen) does not show any superchargers. It seems the "NACS (non-tesla)" setting does not work when plugged into the car (at least for me).

I just planned a trip to Denver (from Phoenix) and it added only EA end EVgo station stops to the trip automatically. When I click on on to "replace" on one of the charging stops, the local search in that area showed no Tesla superchargers. Another trip from Phoenix to Tombstone also didn't show any Tesla superchargers, even though I know there is one in Tucson that I've used successfully with my adapter.

Setting aside this issue, I noticed Maps was showing estimated arrival charge at a given stop as 10-15% left. I didn't see a way to change that setting. I also wonder if Maps takes elevation changes into account like ABRP does.

And lastly, these features are great ! It boggles my mind why Ford or Google aren't telling users about these new features and how to use them! I know they announced back in Jan they were working on this. Why not tell everyone they are ready? Maybe they are not ready to call them officially ready.

It is the same for me. I've had it show superchargers during one session (when "NACS (non-tesla)" was selected, but in other sessions it no longer found them.

Because there must be a bunch of android auto users on this thread, Ive been meaning to ask an unrelated question:

While Android auto is running, does your steering wheel microphone button launch the Google assistant? Mine will only seem to launch the Ford Amazon Alexa. It's funny though, because one time Android Auto popped up some message that said something like "did you know you can use your steering wheel microphone" ....come to find out I can't!! I can only tap the screen mic button.

If it doesn't work that way, I wonder if there is hack to make it work via FORScan?

Hold the mic button for a full second or two to query Google Assistant or Siri.

Long tap goes to your phone's assistant.

Short tap goes to Ford's assistant for me. For Alexa I say "Alexa." I'm guessing that's just a preference in the settings screen.

Just finished a trip using the Android Auto as my main map. Much better than using the native app and it seems like Google has full integration as it also show the “charge needed” mark on the Gauge Cluster

Google maps will evolve, I guess in Gmaps they show how % need to cahrge instead of time , etc

It has both, charge time and percentage. It usually say “charge to at least x%”
