I've been excited to try the 2025 since it was announce and I spoke to a sales person about it a couple of months ago at Kayser Ford in Madison, WI and asked him to call me when one came in. Well, he called yesterday and I went right over to test it out. This was a premium, extended range AWD model which is exactly what I have in the 2022 version. I will say I really liked the new layout in the interior including the new shift stalk. I also liked the new layout in the forward display, I wasn't expecting the screen to be different but it is kinda cool. I wanted to see if I could tell any difference in the efficiency or power but unfortunately it was sunny and about 55 deg F outside so no heat required so I really couldn't tell anything from an efficiency standpoint. The power is supposedly higher than my '22 but I couldn't tell much if any difference at least getting up to about 60 mph. The battery state of charge was only 35% so maybe that's why it didn't feel like anything extra. I really did like the cooled seats and had forgotten that was in there until my butt started getting cold. One thing that I wanted to see was just how much smaller the new frunk is, the pics don't do it justice, it is now tiny. I don't use the Frunk much but when I do it has been very nice to have and I would definitely miss it if I got this car. I'm probably not going to buy one this year but maybe next when my blue cruise subscription runs out but it was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from previous years. There are definitely a lot of nice improvements.

I’m happy to see the 25s are real!

The 35% state of charge is definitely robbing power. It's a beast when it's charged up past 80%. Huge difference in acceleration from your 22.

Howdy, I understand that performance is reduced based on SOC, but what is the expected difference between a '22 and '25? I have a GT PE (23), and the 25 has the same HP, but has more torque with the new Ford designed motor, but I wouldn't expect a difference outside of the "5-sec" acceleration limitation on '21-'24 models. Is this what you are referring to? Thanks in advance for your time.

My comparison is AWD premium with extended battery. Ford quotes 0-60 time of 4.2 sec for the new ones and I think it was 5.1 for mine. That should be a very noticeable difference but I really couldn't feel it yesterday.

Very glad to hear about your test drive of MMe Premium with extended range. I have on with similar specs and sport package pending arrival in late May or early June...my sales rep tells me that several MMe are on train near Dallas, TX and train has not moved in the last two weeks !!!., not sure what may be the issue...

Thanks,

Ok, did some digging (for my own curiosity), and found the following info:

2022 Mustang Mach E Premium ER AWD
346 HP
428lb Torque
source: https://media.ford.com/content/dam/...uct/2022/mach-e/pdf/MACH-E-specs-08252022.pdf

2025 Mustang Mach E Premium ER AWD
370 HP
500lb Torque
source: https://www.ford.com/suvs/mach-e/specs/

So, I too would expect some difference, but depending on how it is beign driven, may only be subtle over short-term use. I would expect the 2025 to achieve higher speeds faster, and have an overall (non-limited) higher potential top-speed.

Maybe others may find this useful :)

Ford listed 4.8 secs 0-60 times for the ‘21 Premium AWD ER. So a half sec quicker. May or may not be noticeable.

I was wondering when the '25s we're going to start hitting dealer lots. Good to hear that they're trickling in!

I've reached out to a handful of dealers recently to inquire about in-transit Mach-Es. The response is always - "We don't have an ETA for this vehicle." Followed by - "Can we interest you in X vehicle instead?"?

370HP and 500 ft lbs torque is good enough for placement into a Ranger sized EV pickup.
