I couldn't hear it at all but the temperature was extremely moderate outside so it wasn't working hard. How loud was the heat pump?
I didn't notice any whine and I don't from my 2022 either.Curious to know if the 2025 AWD still has the really annoying whine from the front around 30 mph? The whine from my 2024 Premium AWD ER is really starting to get to me.
On the premiums? The 35% state of charge is definitely robbing power. It's a beast when it's charged up past 80%. Huge difference in acceleration from your 22.
Look at post #13What about the display was different?
Hmmm. Maybe something is wrong with mine. I recall a thread a while back that they all (non-GT AWD) have a front whine that was “normal”. Mine has a somewhat piercing and distinctive high-pitched whine. It’s really unpleasant, to put it kindly. It’s loudest between about 27 and 33 mph, worst at 30-31.I didn't notice any whine and I don't from my 2022 either.
I don't have particularly good hearing and I'm on the older side so it is possible that it is there and I just can't hear it.Hmmm. Maybe something is wrong with mine. The difference between the older GT-PE and a 2024+ with the Performance Upgrade is pretty minor. I feel that the 2021-2023 hits more violently off the line. The 2024+ ramps itself up a little and pulls a little harder once the car starts to go. From 30-70 there doesn’t seem to be much difference in acceleration. From 80 and up it’s night and day. This is all based on uninstrumented seat of my fuzzy behind feeling. ?Howdy, I understand that performance is reduced based on SOC, but what is the expected difference between a '22 and '25? I have a GT PE (23), and the 25 has the same HP, but has more torque with the new Ford designed motor, but I wouldn't expect a difference outside of the "5-sec" acceleration limitation on '21-'24 models. Is this what you are referring to? Thanks in advance for your time.
Hey there! The 24-25 does have the same rated horsepower, but the 24-25 will hold that horsepower curve longer since it isn't limiting power in the same way as the 21-23. Even the non Performance upgrade is quicker overall than a GTPE 21-23 since it doesn't have the 5 second threshold. They trap 107mph on the non Performance upgrade. Hope that answers your question. It's actually pretty significant where the 24 performance upgrade GT is faster off the line over the 21-23 GTPE. My best 60ft is 1.71 in my 24. I've never seena GTPE pull better than a 1.8xx 60ft. That extra 70tq is there. From there it just gets worse for the 21-23 lolThe difference between the older GT-PE and a 2024+ with the Performance Upgrade is pretty minor. Yes, on all mach e. 35% is limiting power and has a big loss in performance. On the premiums?
I think the biggest question I have is the difference between having the shifter on the center console vs a stalk on the steering wheel. Impressions?I've been excited to try the 2025 since it was announce and I spoke to a sales person about it a couple of months ago at Kayser Ford in Madison, WI and asked him to call me when one came in. Well, he called yesterday and I went right over to test it out. This was a premium, extended range AWD model which is exactly what I have in the 2022 version. I will say I really liked the new layout in the interior including the new shift stalk. I also liked the new layout in the forward display, I wasn't expecting the screen to be different but it is kinda cool. I wanted to see if I could tell any difference in the efficiency or power but unfortunately it was sunny and about 55 deg F outside so no heat required so I really couldn't tell anything from an efficiency standpoint. The power is supposedly higher than my '22 but I couldn't tell much if any difference at least getting up to about 60 mph. The battery state of charge was only 35% so maybe that's why it didn't feel like anything extra. I really did like the cooled seats and had forgotten that was in there until my butt started getting cold. One thing that I wanted to see was just how much smaller the new frunk is, the pics don't do it justice, it is now tiny. I don't use the Frunk much but when I do it has been very nice to have and I would definitely miss it if I got this car. I'm probably not going to buy one this year but maybe next when my blue cruise subscription runs out but it was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from previous years. There are definitely a lot of nice improvements.
I really like the steering wheel stalk. I also have a Tesla Model Y and this is very similar to that so I'm used to it. I like the extra space to store stuff in the middle console.I think the biggest question I have is the difference between having the shifter on the center console vs a stalk on the steering wheel.
