Does anyone know the finance rates from October? My dealer doesn’t offer Options. I didn’t realize this was a thing they didn’t offer. Now I’m trying to figure out if I should finance at 3% through my CU or do Ford credit. Can I lock in finance rates from time of order like I could with Options?

I didn't realize dealerships had the option to not offer Options.

Yes, you have a choice between rates under price protection - at the time of order or at the time of delivery.

Your dealer can show you the Smart VINCENT report on your MME which will list your rate choices.

You don't have to use Ford Options - you can opt for subvented Ford traditional financing or leasing.

When and if I ever see my wife's MME, I can choose the better rate of when I placed my order vs. at delivery.

I didn’t either and idk why they wouldn’t want to offer it.

I just need to know the rate from October to decide if I want to do that or my CU. I trust people here more than my dealer.

Below is what we were quoted and received for traditional financing from Ford financing back in late October 2021 when we bought one off the lot. Hope our dealer will also honor the rate lock when our ordered Mach-e eventually arrives later this year as well.

Correct. I took 0.9% on my 2022 that I picked up mid-May, using those rates.

Look back at the 5/16 build week thread. Dealers have recently given a couple buyers some pushback. The accepted reasoning for this is that they rarely or ever do the Options and thus they are not familiar with it.

A problem is the dealer can mark up the rates so just because a lower rate is available they do not have to give it to you.

Wow. "Unbelievable." However, I do believe you.
Unfortunately that is a way they make money. When you think about it banks borrow from Fed and then add to the rate. Dealer financing steers customers to Ford Credit but may or may not tack in additional interest. If they can’t beat other options the customer will finance elsewhere so they are limited. Of course some dealers do not increase the rate. Just something to be aware of.

The finance guy said he had some unfamiliar extra steps to go through to apply the incentive guarantee of 0%. So once again, the price protection program appears to not be second nature for dealers at this point.

Glad to hear it worked out for you!
I’m getting ready to fight with my dealer. Mine was unloaded from the rail car Saturday about an hour south of me and when I talked with them Monday they were saying that the rates are always changing and they can’t tell me what any of my pricing is until the have the vehicle on the lot.

They want your butt in a seat, then they'll tell you. Ford suggested getting everything in writing next time.

I walked out the first time after we could not agree on applying the price protection up front. I lost that one. Then I had a private cash offer in my checkout that turned out be "sorry, just kidding", not really a thing unless you have the associated email or mailing with a certificate number. I lost that one too after talking with Ford. They could not explain the offer.

This should be easier than this. Good luck!
