Retired. I'd say it was a mid life crisis, but not many people live to 140.

As the Ford Streaming trial approaches expiration, I wonder, what does it really do for 10.00/month?

I’ll still have traffic with navigation, so does it really just come down to watching YouTube on the big screen while charging?

“Ford Streaming” is what I was specifically asking about.

In the Entertainment applications, I see only YouTube and two NBC News apps.

Gotta be more than that.

What is the Ford Connect trial?

I wonder if you mean AT&T WiFi Hotspot, Ford Connected Navigation, Ford Streaming, Alexa, or Blue Cruise Hands Free... These are all different subscriptions.

The only subscription needed for connected navigation features (map routing, EV charger availability, weather map, parking garage locator) is Connected Navigation.

Nope that's it, Ford did the bare minimum to say "hey we have apps too"
Well, that's a shame. I'd like to be able to use YouTube and other apps on the big screen, but it's not worth it to pay every month for something that I'd use maybe three times/year when I have to break down and DC charge.

Thanks very much for your help.

I meant Ford Streaming. Thanks for trying to help.

Navigation, Alexa, Blue Cruise are free for this car until November 2026. It's interesting how the availability of these services varies depending on what car you buy, and when.

I subscribed to WiFi (AT&T Enterprise) but it's no faster than the T-Mobile and Verizon signals on my iPhone, so I'll probably drop that.

I had a good experience with AT&T Enterprise when I was using OnStar, so that's why I'm saying only probably drop it.

The modems we put in automobiles are far away from anybody's head, so they can sometimes pull in a signal when nothing else is working.

That worked for me once when I got hopelessly lost looking at horses and ancient stone fences, way, way out in historic rural Virginia.

CarPlay couldn't get a signal from either T-Mobile or Verizon, but the AT&T remote modem got enough of a signal to get OnStar and Turn by Turn directions back to civilisation.

So it's not hard to imagine I'd have an AT&T WiFi signal for CarPlay when the other two services have failed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you need to pay to use the apps IF your car has wifi, you can turn in the Hotspot on your phone and have the mach e connect to that or if you have a small dedicated Hotspot that will work as well.
