So the electrician says I have a 50 amp breaker. Should the setting on my phone be less than 48a?
Yes! The issue is your settings for sure. Do not use it until reset Properly. You can only charge with 40 amps on a 50 amp breaker, safety. If you have 48 amps as a setting, that may be your problem and it is unsafe.

I made the same mistake with the incorrect circuit board labeling and mine did the same thing. You can remove the cover with the breaker OFF and confirm the settings, they should be the 40A 50A CB settings. Remember that the red block is correct, not the circuit board markings. Ford mucked this one up.

I pulled 48 amps through a 30 amp breaker and 30 amp sub panel breaker and it did not pop, but the charger erred out. That’s when I learned from this site that the circuit board is wrongly labeled at the charger.

I may have misread the manual but it was my understanding that any invalid dip settings default the max current to 48amps.
Correct. But they must be invalid and do default to 48 A

You can try adjusting your phone to 40 Amps and try again and see if it works. I suggest waiting until the DIP switches are confirmed. “On” on the Red Block is ON (or “1” in the manual)……NOT what the green board says, but confirm for yourself And with Ford. As shown in this photo would be a 48 A 60A CB setting.

I cannot believe Ford has not put a manual addendum out yet.

I had a Ford connected charge station installed Saturday but it will not charge. When plugged in to the car the charger indicates that is charging by the pulsating blue light. But in a few seconds it goes to a solid blue line that indicates it's in standby mode. And my Ford pass app says plugged in but not charging. My app is set to charge when plugged in. I contacted ford customer service and all the technician could say was "Hmmm, that's odd. Either you have a loose connection or a bad charger." Any ideas?
Hi there! Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end. Thank you!

My charger came with these settings so I don’t know which one to use. Every one I look at is different. Should it be On On On 1 1?

Yes, On-On-On is the 40A setting for a 50A circuit.
When I installed mine, it came from the factory with all switches off = 48A.

I can't figure out how to send a pm but I just need to know what the dip switch setting should be for a 50amp circuit breaker. Should it be On On On Off Off? I see so many conflicting options and my slectrician is coming in the morning.

Please do and If there is a revised settings manual, I did not get one with My Connected charge station. I would love to know the proper settings for 24A. Maybe that’s why mine errors out some time times.

BTW mine was November 21 delivery. IT DID NOT COME with this addendum. Ford needs to make sure every User gets this manual addendum.

Very confusing. I took my cover off to see how I'm setup. I have a 60A circuit. I was present when the unit was installed. We did not change any dip switch settings. Looks like mine are all set to off. I have not really had any issues charging. It appears there are numerous dip settings to accomplish 48A charging. Now what's the difference. ?‍♂

The bottom 2 switches (#s 4, 5) should be OFF, ie. to the left, all others (#s 1 - 3) should be ON, ie. to the right, for the 50 amp circuit you have.

Mine is one of the newer builds with the gray dip switch block, it came with all switches ON.

Thank the manufacturer, Webasto for the confusion here, their logic markings are reversed, the way it is marked, 1 = off, 0 = on. This is all hashed out in the Sticky Thread, btw.

Edited from original due to communication failures.
